Two suspected members of a banned terror outfit — Khalistan Zindabad Force — have been arrested, the police said on Sunday. They have been identified as Inderjeet Singh Gill (31) and Jaspal Singh (27), both from Punjab. The duo was wanted in a sedition case registered at Moga. The two had allegedly raised a ‘Khalistan’ flag on the terrace of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Punjab’s Moga on the eve of Independence Day and also desecrated an Indian flag in the premises, a senior officer said. On Saturday, the police received information that the accused would come to Delhi to commit some anti-national activities on the directions of their foreign-based commanders, the officer said. Thereafter, a trap was laid near Sani Mandir, GT Karnal road. “Around 6.30 p.m., two persons were seen standing near Sani mandir bus stand. When police were approaching them, they started moving towards the service road coming from Singhu border, however, they were apprehended after a small chase,” said DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.
