Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today met President Ram Nath Kovind and sought repeal of the three farm laws by calling a joint session of Parliament.“Democracy in India is only imaginary. Anyone trying to take power from PM Narendra Modi will be dubbed as anti-national. Anyone standing against him — be it a farmer, labourer or even RSS chief — will be dubbed a terrorist,” alleged Rahul.He said: “The government is stopping our MPs from holding march. There is no democracy in India. It is only in imagination, not in reality.” Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury accompanied Rahul.Other Congress MPs and leaders were prevented from walking to the Rashtrapati Bhavan amid prohibitory orders.AICC leaders, including Priyanka Vadra, Anand Sharma, Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Surjewala, Kumari Selja, Preneet Kaur, Deepender Hooda and Shashi Tharoor, were detained by the Delhi police after they sat in protest outside the AICC headquarters here.Priyanka said it was sinful of the government to dub agitating farmers as anti-nationals. — TNS
