Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, November 13As November 26 will mark one year of the ongoing farmers’ protests at the Delhi’s borders, members of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Kadian) conducted a meeting here today. The members appealed to all office- bearers and workers to reach the Singhu and Tikri borders by November 26.President of the union Harmit Singh Kadian said they discussed their working during the past eleven months and their further strategy during the meeting today. The union members also discussed their plan for the farmers’ march towards Parliament from the Delhi borders during the Parliament’s winter session, scheduled to start on November 29.Meanwhile, general secretary of the union Jagdev Singh said paddy belonging to a number of farmers is lying at their homes due to recent unseasonal rain. He demanded from the state government to take required steps to ensure the procurement of paddy of such farmers.Kuldeep Singh Chak of the union demanded from the government to take measures to deal with the shortage of diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertiliser.
