Members of the Samuykta Kisan Morcha(SKM) staged a demonstration in front of the Collector's office here on Monday in protest against Lakhimpur Kheri violence in Uttar Pradesh which left at least eight people, including farmers and local journalist, dead and several others injured. Leading the protest, SKM Prakasam District Convenor Ch.Ranga demanded stern action against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra and his son Ashish Mishra in connection with the violence. Leaders of the SKM, including All India Khet Mazdoor Union State general secretary Ch. Venkateswarlu, All India Kisan Sabha Prakasam District President Vadde Hanuma Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangam District Secretary P.Venkat Rao and Andhra Pradesh Rythu Coolie Sangam District Secretary Lalitha Kumari, vowed to continue their protracted struggle against the three farm laws till they were repealed and statutory backing provided to the minimum support price regime. They would continue to work for the political isolation of the saffron party in national politics, they asserted.
