Description
A complete shutdown was observed across East Godavari district as part of the Bharat Bandh call given by all political parties except the BJP in opposition to the three farm laws. All schools remained closed while APSRTC buses stayed off the road, extending support to the bandh. All government offices remained open and the weekly grievance cell was conducted by district officials in the Collectorate and divisional administrative headquarters. Extends full support In Rajamahendravaram city, the Chamber of Commerce extended full support to the bandh by closing down the business establishments while theatres stopped screening one show. Leaders of Left parties and AITUC State secretary Ravulapalli Ravindranath and CITU State secretary A.V. Nageswara Rao participated in the rally, condemning the farm policies and privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. In Kakinada city, except Rythu Bazaars and hospitals, all business establishments and government officials remained closed throughout the day.
