To counter “electoral autocracy” of the BJP, farmers have decided to take their agitation against the three farm laws to poll-bound states, said BKU leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan. They had already decided to hold protests in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which go to the polls in early 2022, he said.Ugrahan, who was here to support farm and rural labourers during their three-day protest, said they would campaign against the BJP in the two states to make people aware of the “anti-poor and anti-farmer” policies of the party. “We will campaign against BJP in UP and Uttarakhand. We will not let party leaders enter villages for campaigning. We will gherao them.” He insisted even Prime Minister Narendra Modi wouldn’t be allowed to campaign for his party in Punjab.
