A major fire broke out in tents of protesting farmers near the Singhu border on Saturday evening under mysterious circumstances. The fire brigade reached the spot and doused the flames. As many as four trailers and a langar tent caught fire. In the incident, cots, mattresses, ration, chairs and other goods were gutted. The fire broke out in a tent around 4 pm and spread to adjoining tents. The farmers tried to douse the flames with buckets of the water. After the fire brigade was informed, two fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames. Many farm leaders also reached the spot. — TNS
