Shimla, June 27The Himachal Kisan Sabha has sought the intervention of the President to withdraw the three contentious farm laws and in providing legal guarantee on the MSP. Also, the sabha demanded the withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill and the implementation of the Land Acquisition Bill 2013.The sabha sent a memorandum to the President through Governor Bandaru Dattatreya here today.It said that the farmers’ agitation was going on for the past seven months and more than 500 farmers had died but the government was still not ready to resolve the issue.The sabha also gave a memorandum to the Governor regarding the problems being faced by the farmers. It said because of the rise in the prices of petrol and diesel and fertilisers, the cost of production had gone up and the farmers were struggling to make profits.
