Bihar will shower trust on us: Owaisi

Hyderabad: Bihar’s people will shower us with their trust and you will see how we will move ahead, said AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi while speaking at Darussalam on Tuesday. He said the people were looking for a viable option as they were disappointed with both RJD and JDU. “We have entered into an alliance with Devender Prasad Yadav, a five-term MP, as the United democratic Secular Alliance, for this reason,” he said. Countering allegations that the MIM was being seen as the B-team of the BJP, Owaisi said, “There is data to show that the MIM contesting the polls will benefit the BJP. In Bihar, we fought for one parliamentary seat, where not the BJP, but the Congress won.” He said the party was looking forward to a good outcome in the Bihar polls. On the farm bills, the MIM chief said the bills were unconstitutional. “The Prime Minister is forgetting that their partner Shiromani Akali Dal left their side over this bill. JDU, with whom the BJP is fighting the elections in Bihar, has also expressed unhappiness and there has been opposition from a section of the RSS. The PM must get his own house in order.” Moreover, without a majority, the bill was bulldozed in the Rajya Sabha in an unparliamentary way, said Owaisi. “The aim of the bill is not to benefit the farmer, but corporates. The aim is to promote, protect and make rich all those corporates who have helped during the elections.”
