Trichy: Former national secretary of BJP, H Raja, said that agriculture acts fulfill the long pending demands of farmer organisations and that the DMK-led opposition parties were feeding lies to the people. Speaking after a meeting with party cadres in Pudukottai on Tuesday, he said that people would see through the lies being spread by opposition parties. Raja said the acts gave the farmer the option of taking his produce to any part of the country and sell it. On being dropped from the post of party’s national secretary, he said that he had held the post for the past 6 years and the party would entrust him with some other responsibility. tnn
