‘MSP stays, Congress adding fuel to fire’

Description

BATHINDA: In a bid to strike a chord with the protesting farmers of Punjab, BJP national president J P Nadda on Wednesday chose Punjabi language to respond to the queries raised by chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh in an ‘open letter’ written to him recently. Taking to Twitter, where he also posted an English version of his letter, Nadda wrote that Singh’s open letter of November 1 never reached him, as he had apparently written it only for the media to gain political mileage. He mentioned that the Congress MPs had participated in the debates when the Parliament passed the farm bills, which are in favour of the farmers. “Despite all this, you and party crossed all limits of decency and started opposing these laws, participated in protests and rallies and used provocative words. You tried to add fuel to the fire by announcing that no FIR will be registered against those who are taking the law in hands by holding provocative protests,” he said. “It seems you are responsible for the condition of Punjab and its economic condition.”
