The special cell of the Delhi Police, which is looking into the conspiracy angle to the January 26 violence under the stringent provisions of the UAPA, has started summoning farmer leaders for questioning.It has called six leaders to appear before them at the crime branch here on Friday, say officials.Those who have been served the summons, include Buta Singh Burjgil, Darshan Pal Singh, Rakesh Tikait, Saravan Singh Pandher and Satnam Pannu, they said.Delhi Police on Thursday issued lookout notices against farmer leaders and registered a case under the stringent UAPA and sedition for the Republic Day violence.A confrontation has been building up at the UP Gate at Ghazipur border near Delhi. Heavy security has been deployed at the border, where BKU members, led by Rakesh Tikait, are staying put since November 28.Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the deployment period of four companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) till February 4 to maintain the law and order situation in the border areas of the national capital.Earlier their deployment was till January 28 but has been extended as the sit-in protests are continuing.
