Description

Farmers’ stir must end nowTHIS refers to “Khattar’s advice on Sec 144 puts question mark on stir” (The Tribune, April 26). Surely, banning the assembly of more than four persons is a better option to curfews and lockdowns to tame the Covid monster. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and others must shed bolt defiance of logic and law in the guise of farmers’ agitation. There is no room for protests in the current situation. Lalit Bharadwaj, PanchkulaLet’s be kind to natureEVEN after the visit of a WHO team to China, nothing concrete has been found about the origin of Covid-19, although the most prevalent presumption being the transmission of the virus from mammals ie, bats to humans. Indiscriminate butchering of birds, animals, reptiles, mammals, beasts, aquatics etc in slaughterhouses might be the core reason and probable cause of origin of the dangerous virus. Let’s stop transgressing our boundaries by respecting the nature, living, non-living, moving and unmoving beings, which will make this world far safer and humane. Ramit Bagga, PanchkulaIs a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?The Tribune invites its readers to have their say. Please email at: haryanacity@tribunemail.com
