Ghazipur, January 29Bhartiya Kisan Union’s national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait took a dig at Baba Ramdev, saying he will not run away from the fight.After alleging a conspiracy to attack and kill farmers, Tikait has seen a big rise in sympathisers, who have started to rally behind the farm leader.Ramdev had fled Ramlila Grounds in 2011 wearing salwar kameez when Delhi Police raided the protesters.“I am not like Ramdev Dacait who would try to flee a protest wearing salwar kameez. Brothers, I am Mahendra Tikait’s son and I will stay here till my last breadth. Keep strong,” BKU spokesperson wrote on his social media page.BKU president Naresh Tikait, too, wrote saying thousands of farmers are headed towards Ghazipur.After the events that unfolded on Thursday, political parties, too, have come out in support of farmers at Ghazipur. After senior congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and RLD chief Ajit Singh, the Aam Admi Party had sent drinking and regular water at the Ghazipur protest site.“Rakesh Tikaitji sought water and other essentials from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. We delivered it on Thursday night. I’ll personally go there and see the arrangements,” Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.
