A board has been put up at the village reading: “We boycott and ban the entry of BJP leaders and supporters thereof.”The villagers say they will oppose those who have been supporting BJP leaders because they are the ones who give strength to party leaders. “We want to make them realise they have chosen wrong leaders,” says a villager.Gurkeerat Singh, a villager, says: “The rationale behind the boycott is to pressurise the party to repeal the three contentious laws. We will oppose anyone who supports the BJP until our demands are met.” Karnail Singh, another villager associated with the Bhartiya Kisan Union (Dakunda), says it is a pressure tactic to get the laws repealed.
