Will alienate BJP from masses: BKU

Description

With the fourth round of talks between farm unions and the Centre remaining inconclusive, farmers back home have intensified agitation against Punjab BJP leaders. After farmers started preparations for Delhi agitation, the number of protesters outside residences of BJP leaders witnessed a decline. Now, the number of protesters has started increasing. Sukhdev Singh Kokri, general secretary of BKU (Ugrahan), said the BJP leadership must understand that people would not forgive them if they did not agree to the demands of farmers. He said if the government does not repeal the three Acts, they would not only intensify the struggle, but would also alienate the saffron party from masses in Punjab. — TNS
